Yeah, making sure I eat and drink some water. I woke up tucked into two blankets. We watched a couple of ridiculous reality shows to lighten the mood.

My parents are getting a divorce. Or. They got one already. They didn't want to tell me because they figured it would distract me from school and Exy. As if those things are more important than family.
[ Jean's not sure why any of that's necessary but he doesn't say as much. It's probably why Jeremy was with Laila and not him. Jean doesn't understand that sort of thing very well, comfort and the like. He doesn't easily notice the awkwardness of the way they're talking -- but then again there's a constant state of unease and discomfort he feels since he got here.
He takes in the information and the information that does come is some that he definitely has no idea what to do with. He opens his mouth to speak then closes it and he again feels like he's probably broken as a person. Shouldn't he know something, anything to say here? It's not like he can commiserate or empathize. His parents had sold him to basically be property.

[ It's not that Jeremy doesn't like spending time with Jean.. he absolutely does, but he knows that comfort isn't exactly Jean's thing and he doesn't want to make things uncomfortable for him. He doesn't want Jean to have to comfort him, or worry about such a thing. He already feels like maybe he's asking too much.
He knows this, when Jean doesn't know what to say and it sort of feels silly to Jeremy that he's even talking about this, when parents are probably a sore spot for the other man. They haven't really talked about things like that. ]
Yeah. Me too. I thought they could work it out. [He lets out a long breath, dragging his fingers through his hair] Anyway, it kinda caught me off guard and I went and got drunk, so that's where I've been... sorry for not letting you know sooner.
There are leftovers in the fridge if you're hungry. I think I'm just gonna.... [He points to his room]
[ Jean lifts a shoulder at the explanation. Really, Jeremy didn't owe him anything much less explanations about where he was. They weren't the Ravens and even if they were Jeremy is captain. He doesn't have to explain himself to anyone much less Jean. He doesn't know what to say still and he's not sure what it is that Jeremy might want from him and his shoulders sag slightly for a brief millisecond before he catches himself and straightens up. He studies Jeremy, his brow furrowed and it's probably clear enough that he's lost on what to do and how to do it. ]
Okay, if that's what you want to do. [ Jean says after a few seconds, it's a small offer for an alternative even if it's not specific and who knows if Jeremy would even recognize it for what it was or even if he wanted anything but to just go to his room. Sometimes being alone is probably solace to normal people Jean supposes. ]
