Michael smiles a little because Poe is trying and well he can tell that this isn't exactly the easiest thing for him either. He glances up at him from where he still has his head on the table.
"I don't think I could sleep," he says at least knocking off one of the options. "And I'm pretty sure anything I eat or drink isn't staying down."
He huffed softly, settling a little closer against Michael's side again, "So what I'm hearing is that you want me to sing to you." Not that he had any objections to this, really, because it wasn't as if Michael hadn't heard him singing along while cooking sometimes, and this wouldn't be so different.
"Because laying down and staring at the ceiling in confused silence is always an option, too." Not that he actually wanted to get up again just yet, even if it was to move somewhere slightly more comfortable.
Michael tilted his head where he had it rested, looking at Poe again. "Sing," he settles because he had to choose something or they were both going to go crazy he's sure.
"Okay. Okay, uh..." His brow creased, not quite mentally BSOD'ing, but something like it, just for a moment, before tapping a steady rhythm against the edge of his seat -instead of the edge of the table where it would reverberate in Michael's head- and settling into a rough a capella version of Bob Dylan's 'I was young when I left home' simply because it was the first thing that came to mind that he still remembered all the lyrics to, or most of them, anyway, enough to fake his way through it, humming a line here and there where he couldn't remember the right words and didn't want to just repeat himself.
He smiled, fingers threading through Michael's hair again, "No better than you deserve." He gave another full-handed pinch to Michael's nape, still intent on soothing him as best he could while still trying not to be rattled himself.
He didn't think it was working as well as he could hope for, but the fact that it was working at all could only be a good thing.
He nodded, giving another gentle pinch before he unfolded to his feet, offering Michael a hand up, "Then let's go lay down for a while. I can make soup or something later."
Which was mostly because feeding people was how Poe took care of them, but also because he knew Michael needed to eat something that day. But laying down could absolutely happen first.
Michael accepts the other's hand and exhales. "That's a good plan." Poe is always pretty good at those when it comes to them.
Once he was up he moved toward the bed and laid down, rubbing his face. He was most exhausted and feeling so much nervous energy at once that he didn't know if laying down would actually be helpful at all.
"Better than the alternative." He replied, "Which is that we both just sit here staring at each other for the rest of the afternoon." There was an edge of amusement there, but also an edge of concern, and they were stacked together in a way that even he couldn't separate them.
Despite their similar heights, Poe was going to aggressively be the big spoon, chin hooking over Michael's shoulder, pressing a kiss to the pulse point at the base of his throat and drawing him close, hand splayed flat against his chest.

"I think I want to lay down... I..." he doesn't know. There's so much to think about.
