At least someone had a plan. San Francisco wasn’t really a place that Teddy was overly familiar with. So he was making do the best he could with all of this. But a date. That he knew how to do. Normally his were a lot more nerdy but he still knew how to do them. And knew about dressing to impress.
Which meant he showed up in a great black button up with little silver stars that made his eyes almost twinkle, and a pair of jeans that fit his ass like a glove, and a smile as wide as the moon itself. And all for Gar as he entered and came to a stop near him, his own warm coat draped over his arm.
“It’s no where near as cold here in the winter as back in NYC.”
Gar had thought about letting Teddy plan the date but he kind of owed him after the whole peeking on him in the shower thing and well... hopefully this isn't a total disaster. Because...damn Teddy looked extra hot... Thanks to Kory Gar hadn't gone out in his typical jeans, t-shirt and the jacket with the tiger paw he always wore. No, he was actually in a nice pair of jeans and a dressier shirt with a t-shirt underneath beneath all the buttons. And he'd definitely borrowed the shirt from Dick which he was decidedly not telling Teddy because he'd probably fanboy about Dick again.
Yeah, it definitely is a lot warmer here than NYC which makes it kind of a fun night to be outside. But instead of managing anything about the weather he just blurts, "You look amazing."
Yeah, no, Teddy gets that sort of eager energy that comes with a first date. That being wowed when someone you might have feelings for went out of their way to look special for you. Teddy was used to feeling that way over Billy. And now... now he actually felt it over Gar. Just smiled and nods.
"Yeah, but not half as amazing as you do. Not that I don't like the normal look. Your coat is fucking awesome. But right now? Now you look really good."
Gar happily takes his arm though and he bies the inside of his cheek. It's definitely feeling like a proper date and he's honestly never gotten to have one of those before.
"Good, because you're beautiful," Teddy smiles as he guides the man inside so they could wait for a hostess to notice them and seat them. Sounds good, right?
"Only because I'm already spoiled by yours," Teddy smiles back, and then there's a person and he's being guided with Gar. He happily moves to hold the seat out for Gar too. Gentleman.

"Thank you," he exhales afterward just to make it clear he wasn't actually dismissing the compliment.
