Gar raises a brow and he sort of senses he might have hit a spot he shouldn't really press.

"If you were, I'd know."

Maybe it is a spot. Mostly because Tommy knows he isn't the fastest there is and he HATES it. A lot. Because he deserves to be. He should be the fastest there is, was, and ever will be. And he'll never manage that, because he's only a runner.

"Would you, though? You can't see someone going mach five."

[garrrr]

Tommy, please...

"It's intuition," Gar offers and he reaches gently to catch the other's wrist and tug him. "Come here, closer."

Intuition he can accept. But with that hand gripping him and tugging, Tommy absolutely leans into the attention.

"What's up?"

[garrrr]

Gar tugs him closer still.

"I really missed you."

[doubled_speed]

"Then don't go next time," Tommy grumbles against Gar's neck. Because he didn't want to miss his boyfriend. Ever.

[garrrr]

Gar mentally flinches at that but at least the other is pressed against his neck so his reaction is likely kept hidden.

"I'm sorry..." he says softly, his hand sliding into the other's hair and cradling his head as he hesitates.

"I was gonna try and get you to have sex with me but now I think maybe you should hold out on me," he is half joking half serious because he still feels guilty for hiding.

Oh wait, what, sex?

"Is that... safe?" Tommy asks. He never payed attention in biology. "Because if it is... I don't mind showing you just how much I love you. Reminding you just how mine you are."

[garrrr]

"How much you love me?" Gar can't help but hang onto that part for a long minute really.

"It's safe," Gar confirms. He thinks later on they might have to be more careful but early on it's definitely okay. And he doesn't feel horribly nauseous and gross at the moment and he'd missed Tommy in every way and he wanted to be close to him.

Don't ask for a value. Tommy can't quantify it.

"And no one is going to come down here while we... you know?"

[garrrr]

He doesn't need an actual value it just feels amazing to hear it. He curls his fingers into the other's scalp.

"I'm pretty sure even Cliff will know to knock now that you're here," he says.

[doubled_speed]

"Well, if you're sure..."

He immediately pulls his shirt off and smiles at Gar. "Let see if I still can't make you beg for my kids."

[garrrr]

"Tommy no," Gar laughs at that, but his eyes move over the other's chest.

He shifts to pull off his own shirt after a moment's hesitation because while he's not really, really showing his body is definitely changing and showing Tommy makes him feel a bit self-conscious.

Well, yeah, he is softening a little. But in that way that makes Tommy make a soft, delighted noise. Stupid instincts. But he also appreciates them. He immediately leans in to start peppering Gar's belly with kisses.

Gar laughs again when the other presses kisses to his belly and he feels a little relieved that it didn't seem like Tommy thought it was a turn off. He'd been worried, he couldn't help it.

He slid his hand over the other's shoulder as the other pressed those kisses over him. "I love you so much."

"I love you too," Tommy whispers against his skin, slowly kissing up Gar's chest.

It's not often Tommy gave Gar something that could really be called slow, tender. Tommy doesn't make love. Except right now. Right now that is clearly his intention.

[garrrr]

Gar savors those words and the way the other kisses up his torso slowly. Things with Tommy are always fast and he's never had a problem with that but this is different and there was something special about it.

He bites his lips as his fingers trace over the other's arm, his bicep to his shoulder.

"You're about the most beautiful thing I've ever known," Tommy admits in a whisper as he moves to kiss up Gar's neck.

[garrrr]

Gar's hand slid along the other's shoulder to the back of his neck as he tilted his head back to expose his neck more to the other.

"Tommy..." it's all he could manage something about those whispered words made his throat feel thick.

Tommy's teeth nip over his mark on Gar's neck, and then starts to kiss all over it before heading up for his jaw.

"I'm gonna be yours, okay? And we'll take care of each other."

[garrrr]

Gar shudders beneath him, a quiet moan as the other nips at the mark, biting his lip after. His fingers were curled into the back of his neck, tightening ever so slightly.

"Promise?" he whispers.

[doubled_speed]

"I..."

Tommy doesn't make promises. Because he knows that he'll fail in them. That he shouldn't be depended on.

"I promise."

[garrrr]

It's not something completely unnoticed to Gar and so he knows what it takes for Tommy to make that promise and he cherishes it.

"I promise too," he returns, using his hold on the other's neck to gently guide him to kissing him softly on the lips.

Yeah, it's a super weighty thing to say for him. But yeah, he can be guided up to be kissed, and he offers the lightest one back to Gar. This? This is good he decides. Being with Gar is good.

Gar shifts to hold Tommy close for a moment as he kisses him gently. He's so relieved to not be alone that they're together again and that he doesn't have to worry about doing all this alone.
