[He smiles, leaning against Aiden as he moves them down the stairs to the subway.]

[ Aiden sticks close to Teddy as they enter the subway. He's pretty sure if he didn't he would be running back up the stairs. ]

How long does it take to get to your place?

Oh, you know, twenty minutes. Sorry, the subway is great, but it’s still a busy city. But my place is pretty quiet anyway.

[ Aiden exhales and he just leans a little more into Teddy, focusing on his scent, the sound of his breathing. ]

I'll adjust to it.

If not, we can get earplugs to sleep with.

[The scent is nice, has to be nice. He smiles and pulls Aiden along with him, into the train. And he settles them down into a seat, keeping the suitcases close and his partner closer.]

That just sounds uncomfortable.

[ Aiden laughs and he shakes his head as they get into the train and as they sit down he rests his head on Teddy's shoulder, closing his eyes. ]

Guess I could ask Billy to come over and sound proof the place.

[He'd call his ex, just for his lover. Yep, no problems there.]

I’ll be find, Teddy. How am I ever going to get used to it if I don’t deal with it? You can’t and don’t always want to come to the Bayou.

[ And maybe he doesn’t like the idea of Billy being the solution. ]

I could... I could just come to you.

[He looks so... worried as he looks at Aiden. Teddy was, after all, a sweet, adoring boyfriend that only wanted his partner to be comfortable.]

That's not fair and you know it.

[ Aiden frowns as he glances down the subway car and then just closes his eyes as he rests his head back on Teddy's shoulder. ]

Just give me time to get used to it.

It's not fair, and I don't care. I love you enough to do it.

[Still, his hands card in Aiden's hair, because he wants to soothe the man.]

[ Aiden lets out a low sound of frustration even as he likes the way the other's hand moves through his hair. ]

But I'm asking you not to, don't you love me enough to let me try to do this?

[Yep, he's definitely calling the guy that, even as he leans in to kiss his temple.]

I'm just saying that if at any point, you decide you don't like the idea, I'll manage it. I don't care if I have to try and talk Billy or Dr. Strange into a magical door between my rooms at Avenger's Manor and somewhere near you."

[ Aiden teases Teddy but he loves every bit of it and always will. ]

Just stop expecting to need to do that. I think I got this.

[Okay. He'll... try. That's what his face says after all.]

Okay. I just sorta want this to be perfect. I know you're not going to come up here as often, so I wanted to make it sorta magical.

[ Aiden leans up to press a kiss to Teddy's lips even though they're definitely in public and all. ]

All I need is for you to be here, babe. I'm happy to see you.

[Yeah, in New York, the public part doesn't even matter, and Teddy accepts the kiss with a smile.]

I'm happy to see you too. Fuck, I'm ecstatic. I just wished I remembered what today was. I should have been more prepared.

[ It's still sort of a thing for Aiden, just so many strangers around that could be watching. It didn't actually bother him, just kind of a weird sensation. ]

You had a lot going on.

[ His head rests on Teddy's shoulder again. ]

Are we almost there?

It's the next stop.

[Too much going on, but he loves the idea that he gets to come home to his guy. Even if he's going to need breakfast.]

[ Aiden lets out a relieved sigh despite himself at that news. He's more than ready to get off the crowded train and at least into the open even if it's crowded. ]

Just wondering, does it always smell this bad?

Yeah. Sorta. I hate having a sensitive nose.

[He's also sorta living with eye strain over all the people in horribly clashing colors.]

[ This is the worst for both of them, though Teddy didn't always fair well in the bayou either. He smiles and eagerly wants for the next stop, squeezing Teddy's hand and when it does come he gets up quickly making sure everything is gathered between the two of htem ]

[Teddy is very happy to take most of the bags before guiding them off of the train and then up the stairs and onto the streets. Which are noisy as well, but a different kind of noisy. Teddy laces their fingers together and guides them through the streets until he gets to his apartment complex. A quick use of a key to get them inside of the door, and then he gestures to some stairs.]

I'm on the third floor.

[ Aiden keeps most of his focus on Teddy as they make their way through the streets to get to the other's apartment. He focuses on how the other's hand feels in his own, calming. And there's less noise when they enter the building, somewhat. He nods as they head ofr the stairs and start to climb. It doesn't take long really to make it to the top of the three flights. ]

[Takes no time at all. Soon Teddy's opening the door to an apartment that was, well... IT wasn't much larger than Aiden's trailer. Maybe two feet wider by three feet longer. But it's definitely in a better state of repair, and Teddy's had the money to furnish it comfortably.]
