[ Jin Ling is all too eager to do it, to get close to Jingyi after this situation even if he feels a bit over his head.
There's a little voice in his head telling him to admit he's never done anything like that before but he's prideful and he's insecure that anything could change the other's mind. ]

[a bit because he imagines it'll take jin ling far longer than him to get there. caiyi town is only about five-and-a-half miles away from cloud recesses, it doesn't take jingyi long to get there by sword, find the nearest inn to check into and wait patiently (as possible, anyway) for his friend to show up as well.]
[ It definitely takes Jin Ling longer to get there than it does Jingyi but he does reach it and then makes sure to know exactly where to find Jingyi and as he comes into the inn he's full of nervous and almost turns himself right back around.
But instead, he finds the room that Jingyi had gotten, a light knock to announce his arrival and a deep breath to try and calm down the nervousness that's kicked into gear. It's easy over text but in person, he is a whole lot less confident and determined not to show it. ]
