"If you wish... but it is not necessary. It pleases me to please you," Jibril bites his lip and if he wanted to say anything he was interrupted by a knock at the door.

The knock at the door leading to a very loud argument between brothers. An argument that started about something unrelated but that Kell insisted on keeping in Arabic when it turned to him reminding Rhy that Jibril is how unworthy Jibril, accusations that Rhy will soon tire of the plaything. You will be King one day, you cannot be with someone like him. Somewhere in there Kell telling Rhy to stop having such untoward feelings about Jibril while they were arguing.

By the time Rhy was insisting that Kell leave Jibril had been in tears despite himself and had quickly moved to shut himself into the bathroom before Rhy could see it.

Someone like him. Someone like him? Rhy had been livid. It was unfair, the way his brother decided to affect Rhy's good mood with such cruelty. And it didn't matter how many times he tried to turn the language back to High Royal, a language his brother was actually fluent in, it kept coming back to Arabic. Inconsiderate.

In the end, he'd heard the bathroom door close and in his fury had struck his brother. Far harder than intended, for Rhy was the one to stagger back, making a loud and pained noise as the blow echoed across to him.

"Get out," he hissed to his brother in Arnesian. "You are not welcome here."

Jibril had his hand pressed against his mouth because for a moment his crying wasn't silent. He could hear the commotion in the other room, the sound of someone in pain but he could tell it isn't Rhy so he stays in the bathroom taking deep breaths to will it away, the way his throat is closed up and it feels like there's a weight on his chest.

Kell is right and that is the worst thing.

Oh but it had been Rhy, and so Rhy hadn't been pleased. At least he got to see his brother looking... distressed. And Rhy got up, pushing to his feet and heading to the bathroom. He intended to join Jibril in locking himself inside. FUck Kell.

"Jibril," he says, knocking at the door, "please open up my dove."

Jibril very nearly told Rhy no but he never really says no to him, not anymore. He gives to whatever Rhy wants to take and he doesn't think twice about it. He takes a couple seconds to compose himself, wiping at his eyes and taking a few shaky breaths before opening the door.

"Rhy..."

Once the door is open, Rhy steps through into it with him, and locks the door behind him. Doesn't matter, Kell can work metal, he can unlock it. But hte petulance matters.

"The cad. He's angry because he's not getting laid and you woke me so well. Ignore him."

"He's right, Rhy," Jibril says gently, looking down.

"One day you will be king."

What? Rhy glowers at that.

"And your point? If I am king, I make the rules."

[allahuakbar]

"Kings...they marry their kind and have heirs..." At least that is what Jibril knows of kings.

"He's right, ya hayati."

Jibril looks a bit broken.

There's a knock at the bathroom door behind them, and Rhy rolls his eyes. He fists a hand and punches his own leg, hard. Sure, he winces, but the sound of pain from the other side of the door is satisfying.

"My dove, you ARE my kind."

Jibril looks confused at the way the sound is echoed on the other side or why Rhy would punch his leg.

So instead of arguing for a moment it's set aside.

"What are you doing...?"

"Telling you I love you," Rhy answers, reaching out to stroke Jibril's face, to wipe away the tears. "My love. My dove."

Jibril inhales at those words. He bites his lip and as the other wipes at the tears it feels like more well and he curses them inwardly.

"I... I love you too," he whispers but his hand went to where Rhy had punched his leg. "But what are you doing?" he's trying to understand the strange action.

He hates that Kell hasn't seemed to have left, that they're stuck in the bathroom.

Ah, yes. That. Rhy had been hiding it quite a bit, hadn't he?

Rhy's attention turns back to the door.

"Perhaps I can show you."

He catches some of the skin of his bare leg between his fingers and pinches it, savagely. And there is a low curse on the other side of the door.

"Punishing him."

Jibril looks confused, watching the other pinch his leg and he reaches to try and stop him.

"Please don't hurt youself," he whispered and then furrows his brow.

"How...?"

"I'm hurting him," Rhy counters. "Kell and I are... linked."

[allahuakbar]

Jibril knew there is magic. He is still a bit superstitious of most of it but he didn't understand exactly.

"Your pain is his pain?"

[unbreakable_king]

"And in return. My pain, my emotions... my pleasure."

Which meant his brother KNEW he cared for Jibril.

"That was why he yelled at me for being distracted. I decided rather than paying attention I would fantasize. And the heat it brought me... he knew."

That is a lot to take in and when the implications are laid very bare he blushes, looking toward the door.

"He knows... every time or...when he is near?"

"Every time. Well, there is a diminishing with distance, but we've not been far enough for it to really matter," Rhy admits, his voice soft as he meets his lover's gaze. And there is no shame in his gaze.

"The woman he loves has not sought him out and drives him mad. He is jealous."

Rhy might not feel any shame but there is ..not quite shame but a sort of embarrassment that something so private is not... private.

"Doesn't make him wrong just because he is jealous," Jibril murmurs, trying to think about anything but Kell being able to know the things they do together.

"You are angry too now." An unrelated note.

"Yes, but that is because he is," Rhy counters, and he looks to the bathroom door.

"Will you leave already? And lock the door behind you!"

Jibril presses his forehead to Rhy's chest, exhaling softly. He doesn't hear the sounds of anyone leaving but maybe his hearing isn't good enough.

He really doesn't like it to see Rhy angry. He hadn't actually been privy to many experiences with Rhy's temper.

"He wanted to hurt you," Rhy sighs, shaking his head. "And for that I am sorry."
