"Good," Jiang Cheng is hardly the kind of person to tell another that work could wait, especially when there would be more of it tomorrow. Stretching a little, he breathes out before he turns to look at his spouse.
"Not everyone gets to nap while others work, a-Yi."
"Ah, the benefits of being the wife of a sect leader," Jingyi jokes, and if anyone else had called him a wife he would have gotten defensive but it amuses him to call himself that honestly.
"I'll make it up for you tomorrow though. I promise!"
"Why would you want to do that to me?" Jingyi complains lightly at the idea but he reaches to take the other's hand so he can get up, a stretch coming with it and a stifled yawn as he gives the other a bit of a sheepish smile in the aftermath.
"To teach you a lesson. Obviously." Jiang Cheng snorts a laugh, but he does allow Jingyi the moment. His eyebrows raise before he lets himself turn away to hide his humour.
"Tch," Jingyi rolls his eyes and he stretches a little more once he's standing before pressing in closer to his husband, cheek resting against his upper arm.
Jingyi enjoys being allowed such a luxury with the other and not being shrugged off or scoffed at. If anyone had been around that surely would have been the case but luckily they were alone. He doesn't pull away from the other and just curls his hand around Jiang Cheng fully intending to walk to their chambers latched onto him this way.

Slowly, he pushes himself to his feet and stretches his arms out before he offers a hand down to Jingyi.
"Come on."

"Don't say it."

"I am not saying anything."

"You were thinking something, though."

Humming softly, he looks down at Jingyi fondly.
"Let's go."
