To be fair, he doesn't even know about his vision so far -- Erwin has told him, in broad strokes, what he intends to do with him, but he hasn't even met the Survey Corps yet. He might change his mind, he might not, time would tell. But for now, Erwin is perfectly aware that Levi has no reason to trust him and every reason to hate him.
All in due time, hopefully.
"Very well," he says, and motions at the direction Levi should start walking in. He may not be able to escape, but that doesn't mean Erwin trusts him either, though he's better at not openly showing hostility. But it will be a while until he stops expecting to wake up with a blade at his throat. For now, he prefers to keep this feisty little thief in his sight at all times.
As they approach the stairs leading Above, there's a group of Military Police waiting for them. Erwin gently rests a hand between Levi's shoulderblades, both to put up a bit of a show and to steer him a little, and as a subtle reminder to behave while they're under outsider scrutiny.
The commanding officer shoots them both a distasteful glare, which may be surprising for someone who doesn't know that the Survey Corps is basically the redheaded stepchild of the military as a whole and Erwin is the thorn in the ass of many aristocrats already, predicted to get that much worse when Shadis finally passes the torch, which is exactly why they may or may not have been trying to assassinate him already. Had anybody reached out to Furlan or Levi with a job recently?..
The MP reaches toward Levi's collar, intending to roughly pull it down to check if the Survey Corps' Captain's story actually checks out; Erwin watches for Levi's reaction warily, ready to stop the officer's hand if he thinks Levi will react violently to getting touched like that.
