They had talked about it, getting the the Generation of Miracles together for a little weekend get away, unfortunately Murasakibara and Midorima couldn't make it. Midorima had a family event to attend and Murasakibara hadn't really given a reason, though Akashi assumed, based on hearing Himura's voice in the background, it involved a school activity of some sort.
But he, Kise, and Aomine were here. And of course, Kuroko. The three of them were more than capable of giving their phantom sixth man the attention he deserved. Kise was, predictably, very excited for the weekend, giving his affection for Kuroko and Aomine and was all but bouncing off the walls in excitement. Aomine was slumped on the sofa, channel searching, pretending he wasn't as excited for the weekend's planned activities as Kise was.
Akashi sat at the dining table, watching his friends, Aomine occasionally sniping at Kise, while they waited for Kuroko to show up to Akashi's Okinawan beach house. Or make his presence known.
When he heard that Ranpo was injured... there was nothing that Poe would do to keep from showing up at his place. It sounded grave, whatever the injury was. He knew Ranpo had previously been working a case, and... really, he assumed that's where he'd gotten hurt. So, that's how he's ended up here.

"Why... didn't you go to your doctor?"
Poe asks, finishing wetting the small cloth with the alcohol, moving to carefully wipe at the wound, his hands shaking as he brings it up to him.
