Perhaps it is true, but Wangji is happy for it to be that way. Wei Ying
deserves it after all. "Mm," he says non-commitally, though. He meets the
other's eyes and then reaches over and take the wine jug from him to take
the barest sip of it before handing it back.
"Oooh...This is a special day." He laughs as he watches the man take that sip. He knows the kind of light weight that Lan Zhan is but usually its because he accidentally drinks an entire cup of it. Certainly the man can handle just a sip. He has seen Lan Xichen manage just fine.
"If you pass out on me I am going to be very sad, Lan Zhan."
Lan Zhan made sure not to drink too much. Enough to feel the edge of the tipsiness, the slight drop of inhibitions but not enough for him to pass out or become uncontrollable and given Wei Ying chickens.
He leans close again, smirking as he tries to meet Lan Zhan's eyes. "You look like you are going to stay awake but i"m not sure if you are seeing me any more. Do I need to get closer?"
He is already pretty close and he is sure that the other man's vision is just fine. But he can't help it when he wants to be able to see what the other one is going to do.
"I do," Lan Zhan counters, the words not coming out completely clear and he does see his Wei Ying but he's not completely a steady picture.
As the other comes closer, Lan Zhan leans in, letting his forehead press to the other's for a moment before tilting his head and pressing a kiss to Wei Ying's lips.
He smiles against those lips before returning the kiss. It really is a rare day when he can watch Lan Wangji drink alcohol and give him affection in such an open setting. This is already turning out to be a memorable birthday. The familiar taste of the other mixed with the wine on his lips is pleasant.
He nips playfully at those lips, curious to see just how deeply Lan Zhan is willing to kiss him in that moment. Knowing that the little bit of alcohol has probably loosened his inhibitions by quite a bit.
Lan Zhan chases the other in the kiss at the nipping, deepening it. It didn't last too long before he was pulling back, looking at Wei Ying with adoring eyes. "Yours." he says.
He hums contently and looks up at the other man with a gentle smile and all the affection for him that he holds in his body is reflected in those eyes. "Mm...all mine. And I'm definitely yours too." There are no doubts about that at all.
"Hmm...I originally wanted to finish my wine but now I am far more interested in tasting something else." He closes that gap between them to kiss Lan Zhan again. His desire has definitely shifted from the wine. It is hard to resist being in Lan Zhan's arms once they have started to be like this. It's even more addicting then Emperor's Smile.
