He doesn't respond to that for a long moment, choosing instead to continue humming as he finishes doing Huaisang's hair. The sound echoes, just a little, filling the room as he puts a little bit more of his own spiritual energy into making everything feel softer. It lingers, even after he lets his voice fade out, as he ties off the last of the braids.

"And yet you are the one who keeps lying to us both."

His hand slides over the curve of Huaisang's hip, thumb rubbing into his hip bone.

"I'll make sure something like that never happens again. That I can find you, anywhere you go."

Huaisang doesn't say anything at all to that and his eyes close when the other's hand moves over his hip. He bites down on his bottom lip to keep from making a sound at the touch.
