Huaisang accepts the flowers and she sniffs them before leaning to kiss Jiang Cheng.

"I should put these in water before we go."

He hummed softly into the kiss, sneaking another one before letting her go. When Huaisang returned, he offered his arm and headed over to the car. "Excited for your adventure?"

Which wasn't in the direction of the one field outside of town. In fact, they were turning into the city proper in the commercial district. He parked the vehicle into the lot before the fancy spa place and then turned to look at Huaisang. "Had to throw you off the trail with a hot air balloon."

Huaisang quickly put the flowers in water -- she'd find a nice vase for them when they came back but for now, speed was the key.

"Mmm, I suppose," Huaisang says, still fooled by his ploy but as they went through the city she's already suspected that the hot air balloon was a ruse of some sort.

"You brat," she scolds playfully when she realizes where they are, lightly smacking his shoulder and then leaning over to press a kiss to his lips.

"Excuse me?" He played up after the kiss. "I was not the one whining about a hot air balloon ride." Cheng doesn't quite get out of the car yet, not when there's a chin to catch and lips to kiss properly. "Happy birthday, A-Sang."

Then he left his seat and walked around, opening the door for her. "Be prepared to be pampered for six hours. And a brunch in the middle of that."

"Why would you even tease me about that being my present?!" Huaisang huffs at him but she's happy to have the brief touch, the kiss shared. She can't mind it too much. He's good to her even if he had trolled her for weeks now.

"Are you getting pampered as well?" Huaisang asks mischieviously.

Well.... "This is your day," he stressed softly, a smile playing on his lips. "Wouldn't me joining in detract from that?"

"You joining me would never detract from anything,” Huaisang answers and she smiles back happily, leaning to kiss him again. She’s already starting to plan how she’ll get him back for the hot balloon con, though.

"Good," he quipped, accepting the kiss easily and being mindful that he didn't want to hike her dress up too much. She wouldn't care, but he did. "There was a couple's deal going on."

"Perfect then," Huaisang says and kisses him once more before taking his hand, lacing their fingers together.

Cheng wasn't too certain about 4-6 hours of primping and pampering. He'd been mushed and marinated and exfoliated and collagened and manicured and pedicured and finally, at the end, mushed again. But it was worth it if Huaisang was happy. She was probably in her glory and he couldn't wait to get her full reactions about it all.

Huaisang thoroughly enjoys all the attention. She's relaxed and happy throughout all the pampering, giggles frequent and flirty comments toward Jiang Cheng often. She feeling extra beautiful, skin extra soft and glowing by the time they're ending the time at the spa. She exhales happily.

"This is the best present, A-Cheng."

He takes it all in stride, complete with some half-hearted grumbles and eye-rolls. He has to admit (only to himself) that he feels pretty good after the long-ass session.

"I knew it would be," he boasted, keeping an arm around her waist. "It was hell trying to keep you from setting this up yourself. And finding out what I did."

Huaisang knows Jiang Cheng enjoyed it all despite himself! She doesn't need him to say it. She laughs as she leans into him, pressing a kiss to his shoulder.

"I would have pretended not to know!!!"
