Kell makes a quiet noise, tilting his head as the other kisses the mark, letting out a harsh breath.

"Mm, Rhy," he can't quite formulate any more words than that.

"You have no clue how many times we're going to do this," Rhy laughs. "I am already addicted.

"I've created a monster," Kell finally pants, shifting slightly and then whimpering as the other's knots tugs at him.

"You have not," Rhy answered. "You've always been what I wanted. We were always barrelling toward this."

And he whines at the pull. Please don't do that brother.

Kell settles, though, it's a bit hard to remain still, truthfully. He shakes his head.

"You and your flair for the dramatic."

That's good. Rhy mouths at the mark his brother bears, and he smiles.

"You like my flair, love."

Kell shudders beneath him, his passage pulsing around Rhy's knot at the attention to the mark.

"It's annoying," he huffs breathlessly.

"You love it," he repeats, smiling. "LIke you love me."

“Don’t get too full of yourself,” Kell huffs and shifts beneath Rhy.

"I think you're full of me," Rhy countered with a grin, rolling his hips a little to help him remember just who was full of who.

Kell bites back a gasp as the other rolls his hips. His thighs tightening and he drops his head back. "Hilarious, Rhy.

But he's breathless.

"Oh you love the reminder. Admit it. You're going to be desperate to have my cock and my knot in you all of the time."

Kell shivers and it feels so good to be knotted and he knows there's some truth -- especially right now when he's certainly in heat.

Because, technically, Kell was a noble. Kell was Vestra by adoption, a member of a royal line family. Which meant he would have the right to sit at Rhy's side not only as his consort and mate, but as a coruler. It was something that their mother had never truly sought, though her Vestra blood meant she had the right. But Kell? Rhy intended to give him power.

"It's still..." Kell tries to argue but it's really difficult with the way the other is still inside him and his heat is still very much in effect. He's far more private than Rhy. He always has been and doing something there felt like far too much to him! And power? He didn't want it. He already had enough to deal with.

"It's still what?" Rhy asked, stroking Kell's cheek. "Would you really ask me to be alone, serve alone, rule alone? It seems unfair, brother."

"Helping you rule and serve is not the same as what you just suggested, Rhy!" Kell counters. Still, he doesn't need or want power. He's already got enough on his shoulders as an antari could he not just continue to serve his king, to protect Rhy?

"I will always serve you, brother."

He has far before mating with him, before bonding with him.

"Fine, no sex on the throne. But will you rule at my side? Be a power for yourself and your people and not just because mother and father took you in?"

Kell is relieved that at least Rhy relents on that first point. He shifts uncomfortably beneath Rhy, it's hard to think on his own when he's in heat.

"It's not fair to have this conversation when I'm like this," Kell says softly, nearly pouting. Every part of his being wants to submit to his alpha in any and everything. It's hard to keep his actual thoughts in focus.

Well that's a good point he hadn't considered, and Rhy sighs, pulling out of his lover at last and rolling onto his back.

"You're right. I just... Today is my chance to get all I want. Including you."

Kell shifts to press close to Rhy because he can't seem to accept too much distance. He nuzzles his face into the other's chest and presses against his side.

"You can't get everything in just one day, Rhy."

Why not? Rhy pouted at that comment before twisting to kiss Kell's neck.

"I have aspirations on how to improve the world, Kell. And that means I need to be forward thinking and energetic. Surely you'd prefer that to the lazy sod I've seemed like over the years."

Seemed like. As if he wasn't truly it.

Kell is quiet, as the other presses his lips to his neck. He's already starting to feel the arousal creeping in again. Goddamn heat. He swallows as he gathers his focus.

"It will still take time, brother."
