for ivar

[personal profile] heahmund 2019-01-29 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Heahmund should have known better. He should have known that going out on the town with Ivar was a terrible idea. He'd already diverted from the restaurant they'd had reservations at, seeing one of the other university faculty there. It probably wasn't lost on Ivar why he was suddenly suggesting anywhere else for dinner.

"What about the brewhouse theater?" Luckily, you didn't have to be 21 to go even if Ivar probably couldn't get alcohol there. They could get dinner and a show.

Heahmund is already pulling out of the parking lot regardless of the answer.
ragnarsson: ([15.3] Arms folded)

[personal profile] ragnarsson 2019-02-01 11:20 am (UTC)(link)
It had definitely been a terrible idea but of course Ivar had gotten his way. He always did. It was quite satisfying to have Heahmund wrapped around his little finger. He folds his arms across his chest as Heahmund peals out of the parking lot, frowning a little.

"Once again, I am highly suspicious of your motivations in this sudden change of venue, professor." Ivar only called Heahmund that when he was deliberately trying to annoy him. He knew that Heahmund wasn't ashamed of him. But he was tired of the way the man lived in this constant state of fear.
heahmund: (iVCfeN3)

[personal profile] heahmund 2019-02-01 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
"Is that a yes?" Heahmund said, ignoring the use of professor and the way the other was already calling him on what he'd just done. He doesn't need or want to explain why as he starts to cruise toward the brewhouse unless Ivar suggests elsewhere.

"It's still "out of the house" as you requested."

Heahmund wouldn't say that it's so much fear that he lived with and neither was it shame. It was a pragmatic realism. Ivar never thought about the consequences of his actions which left Heahmund to consider both of them alone. He was constantly having to weigh the risks to his job and reputation, to Ivar's future as well.

Those things didn't tend to matter when he tried to bring them up to Ivar, though. IVar might technically be an adult but sometimes he was just an infuriating child.
ragnarsson: ([11.2] He's back)

[personal profile] ragnarsson 2019-02-11 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
Ivar smirked. "One of these days, you're going to have us go on a date in a hole in the ground, and call it getting outside of the house." Ivar's tone isn't angry, more of a gentle ribbing at what he saw as Heahmund's obsessive paranoia.

He scoots over in his seat until he can reach out, putting a gentle, callused hand on Heahmund's arm. He runs his thumb gently over the skin. "There was someone you knew there, wasn't it?" He knows there's only a few reasons why Heahmund would make a change in plans. He was determined to keep this relationship as much under wraps as he possibly could.

He really did try to see things from Heahmund's point of view. But so often it just seemed like Heahmund was putting their relationship second to this need he had to be secretive. It frustrated Ivar to no end, but he had gone about as far as he could in pushing Heahmund's limits.
heahmund: (eAOIy2z)

[personal profile] heahmund 2019-02-22 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Heahmund exhaled at the other's light accusation, though he knows that Ivar is only giving him a hard time. There is some degree of guilt at the fact that he continues to need to deny Ivar from having everything he wanted. He loved the other after all and wanted to deny him nothing even though he was already more than spoiled enough.

Some of the tension drifts away from him as he drives with the other's hand on his arm and he shifts to take his hand in his own as the other stays on the wheel, lacing their fingers together.

"There was," he said simply. After all, that would be the only reason he would have left in such a way. The need to be secretive was in order to preserve both their relationship and his own career until Ivar was finally at least out of university so it wouldn't look... so unethical.
ragnarsson: ([15.8] Don't leave me)

[personal profile] ragnarsson 2019-03-13 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Ivar runs his hand slowly up and down Heahmund's arm. The depth of his feelings towards the older man is almost scary sometimes in its intensity. He's never felt like this way towards anyone ever before. As much as he pushes the limits with Heahmund, he'll never do anything truly malicious to drive him away. That would devastate Ivar.

"Fine. We can go somewhere else," he says without too much argument in his voice. He knows Heahmund has very good reasons for not wanting the university to find out about them, so he tries to respect them.

He can't help his insecurity rising up, and before he can stop himself, Ivar finds himself asking, "Would you still stay with me even if people found out?"

For Ivar

[personal profile] devilsandangels 2019-01-29 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Alfred and Ivar had returned to Kattegat not too long after Alfred's strength had recovered from his illness. Once the return celebrations were complete, Alfred shifted to get down to help Ivar remove his braces. He particularly careful, not wanting Ivar's mood to sour. Once they were discarded, Alfred looked up at Ivar. "I wanted to ask you something..."

You can blame Judith's meddling mostly for this but even Aethelred had mentioned it off hand...and then the idea hadn't been able to be silenced.

"Can we..." Alfred hesitates for a few moments.

"Are there children here that have lost their families?"

Very classy way to ask to adopt, Alfred.

Ivar had been hovering around Alfred anxiously pretty much from the moment he had woken up. He seemed afraid that Alfred would simply collapse and die again if he left his sight for even a moment. He was a particularly ferocious bulldog in these moments, and wisely, almost everyone had given the two of them space.

He'd finally calmed a little bit when they had returned to Kattegat. He was idly sharpening one of his knives when Alfred asks. He pauses just long enough to make it clear the subject of the conversation has struck a nerve. "There are many children in Kattegat who have lost their parents." Either through the near-constant raiding, being out on the sea, to disease or malnutrition. There was many ways for children to become orphans.
devilsandangels: (alfred23)

[personal profile] devilsandangels 2019-02-01 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Alfred for once, isn't completely sure how to interpret the nerve that he knows he's struck. What direction it had come from and if he was treading onto even more dangerous territory. But there were moments when he saw something in Ivar, and despite the whole political angle from his family this is something Alfred knew that he wanted. It still felt hard to ask, he was finding himself frightened about Ivar's answer, his reaction in a way that he hasn't been in some time.

He shifts to move closer to Ivar, watching him carefully as he speaks again. "Could we raise one?"

The idea is not such an odd one to Alfred, after all considering who his real father was and how his basically adopted father had never treated him with anything but love it seems a natural thing to do. "Would you want to?"

Alfred hesitates and it seems he can't stop talking. "My mother keeps saying that we need heirs and even Aethelred started on about it. The alternatives.. I can't imagine you," he flushed a little and there's a shrug. "But even other than that, I think we could be even happier with a child."
ragnarsson: ([12.20] Please listen)

[personal profile] ragnarsson 2019-02-11 08:35 am (UTC)(link)
Ivar doesn't meet Alfred's eyes. He feels torn inside about how feels about this. Part of him wants to raise a child and become a parent, to know that his legacy is always secure. But part of him is also terrified by the prospect.

He brushes a lock of Alfred's hair back behind his ear when he comes closer. "I...I want to, but..." He tries to put down what he feels into words. "I don't know if I would be able to be a good parent. My mother suffocated me and my father abandoned me for ten years." In other words, Ivar had Issues with a capital I.

At least he knows Alfred would be a good parent. His husband has enough love and compassion within him for ten children.

There's a relief with the way that Ivar touches his hair, and he keeps his eyes on his husband. He can understand the hesitance that he has. He smiles at him, though, because Alfred believes in everything that Ivar could be capable of.

"You would not abandon us and neither would you suffocate anyone either," Alfred says with no hint of doubt in his voice nor his gaze.

For ivar

[personal profile] richidiot 2019-02-02 11:14 am (UTC)(link)
Agustin is already on Molly by the time Ivar arrives. It’s typically what he does anytime anything he doesn’t want to think about starts to take hold in his brain — like his parents. So, Ivar will find him, dancing around like the idiot that he is to ridiculously loud dubstep music. He only turns it down a little when he sees Ivar having let himself in.

“Hey,” he grinned, bounding over to him, he swings around to the back of the others chair and pushes him with no regard toward the couch. He’ll let Ivar get himself situated.

“What’s up? Are you up yet?” He grins and then reaches back for another tab of molly, holding it up for Ivar. “Yes? Yes?”
ragnarsson: (So what)

[personal profile] ragnarsson 2019-02-03 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
Ivar's wondering if this is a good idea even as he pulls up to the building, but hey, he's already here so he might as well go through with it. However, Agustin immediately irritates him by grabbing hold of his chair. "Let go of my wheelchair, you brainless druggie!"

Ivar is very testy about anyone touching his wheelchair after a lifetime of condescension from people. He takes a swipe at his friend, but Agustin has already drifted away from the couch. When he's offered the Molly he still looks a bit sour. "Must I?" Really, he'll end up giving in. Being high is one of the only way to endure Agustin's company for any length of time.
richidiot: (Default)

[personal profile] richidiot 2019-02-03 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Agustin knows that Ivar can be testy about his wheelchair but he also kind of just doesn’t care either. He waves it in front of Ivar’s face as the other continues to be annoyed. “You must,” he confirmed, sometimes Ivar seemed so reluctant but he always had a good time by the end of it.

He tosses it at Ivar and then drops himself on the end of the couch further away from where he’d parked Ivar’s chair. “If you don’t want that you know I got whatever you do want. But it’s good shit.”
ragnarsson: ([10.7] You're not right)

[personal profile] ragnarsson 2019-02-11 08:47 am (UTC)(link)
Ivar snorts indelicately and reluctantly takes the Molly, popping the tab of it into his mouth. "You know, I would have killed you by now if you didn't have such good drugs." True facts. Ivar didn't often suffer fools lightly and Agustin was most definitely one of the biggest fools he'd ever met.

"I still might," he muses. One of these days, he's just going to push Agustin into heavy traffic, and let a game of chance decide this all. Then again, there was that saying God watched after children and idiots, so with Agustin's luck, he'd end up without a scratch on him.
richidiot: (Default)

[personal profile] richidiot 2019-02-14 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
“Yeah, most people would,” Agustin shrugs. He just assumes no one is around except for whatever he’s providing them rather than actually liking him or really being his friend or what the fuck ever. He tries never to let it get to him that much.

“Whatever,” Agustin said and he grins cockily as he slips down to his knees in front of the couch. After all, he’d been serious. “Then who would suck your cock?”

For Ivar

[personal profile] kykr 2019-02-22 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
[ continued from here ]

Bjorn and Ivar did not always get along -- the understatement of the century, or millennia. But sometimes they did click. Despite their difference, perhaps more than their other brothers there was a primal drive that left them searching to conquer and to prove themselves. In many ways, Bjorn understood Ivar better than any other of his brothers. Just as much, he didn't begin to fathom the youngest Ragnarsson. But it came down to the fact he was happy to go on a trip with Ivar.

As indicated, he showed up in a fancy car, outfitted for Ivar's easy comfort as most of the vehicles that Ragnarsson's owned.

"I'm here," he sent as a text, ever no help in assisting Ivar.
ragnarsson: (I was joking)

[personal profile] ragnarsson 2019-02-23 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Ivar had been pleased that Bjorn had decided to include him on this trek halfway around the world. His relationship with his oldest brother wasn't perfect, but they understood each other very well.

Ivar came wheeling out of his house. He had packed simple for this trip, figuring it was better to be pragmatic rather than to plan for every single scenario they could possibly encounter. He threw the bag into the backseat, went around to the other side, and slid into the front passenger seat. He folded and pulled up his wheelchair after him. "So where are we going again?" He asked.
kykr: (Default)

[personal profile] kykr 2019-02-24 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"Indonesia," Bjorn answered and there's a shit eating grin on his face as he throws the car into drive once Ivar is inside and ready to go. He'll avoid as much traffic as he can so he can speed all the way to the small airport where several private jets are located.

"How'd you already forget?"
ragnarsson: ([10.6] Of course)

[personal profile] ragnarsson 2019-03-13 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Like I keep track of every place you end up jet-setting to?" Ivar retorted. He was still excited just to be off on an adventure with his brother, going somewhere fun and full of life. He so rarely got to do this, for Aslaug kept a close watch on Ivar when it came to leaving the country. She seemed to be convinced anytime he left that he would either be kidnapped and held for ransom or sold into slavery somehow.
kykr: (poet32)

[personal profile] kykr 2019-03-14 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
"We did just talk about it," Bjorn pointed out lightly but to be honest it can be easy to mix up places anyway.

"So did you tell your mom where you were going?" Bjorn asks as he's speeding and weaving in and out of traffic recklessly.

[personal profile] thechairguy 2019-05-01 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
Ned was totally enamored with Shuri. She was pretty like a real life princess and she was one and all but she was also totally funny and nice and he's pretty sure she might be the smartest person on the planet. He's also pretty sure she liked Peter and Peter definitely was oblivious to that and pining after MJ who was definitely also into Peter.

Man, being in high school sucks.

"So, do you want to work on a new program later?"
