Hanamaki raises a brow and an amused smile spreads on his lips. But he's glad he's not actually late and hadn't kept the other waiting too long.

"I have some friendships that have been like that," he chuckles. He takes the pamphlet and hums as he looks over it and then glances back at Osamu.

"Are you going to be super judgey?" he teases.

"I'm going to be super judgey," Osamu promised. "I started out as stand, and now I have my own retureraunt." He browsed the pamphlet over Hanamaki shoulder. "I recognize some of these guys. He's bad," he pointed to one. "And he's a dick, so we're going to eat good food in front of him."

Osamu was one of those guys who threw shade rather than fists. He's a nice guy like that.

Hanamaki glances back at him briefly before paying attention to the ones that Osamu points out. "Petty. I like it."

Hanamaki snickers and he kind of wants to lean back into the other but they are in public and this is only the second date.

"I'll let you handle the food choices."

"Good choice," Osamu said, grinning a little. Really, who better than a professional restaurant owner/chef to pick out the food for you?

He gives Hanamaki a nudge toward a truck with good food and cheap beer run by a sort of friend. It was a turkey burger truck that Osamu thought could go big, but the owner liked the truck. "Everything here is good," he said. "And I mean everything. I've tried every dish at least once."

Hanamaki nods. Nevermind sometimes he's just lazy about making decisions. So it's really all wins.

Going to the first food truck. "Wow. Seriously?" Hanamaki asks, raising a brow. Someone trying every item on a menu is just not something he's used to. He usually finds a favorite as quickly as possible and orders the same thing over and over for the most part.

"Okay then." That should make ordering easy.

Well, most people aren't Miya Osamu and have all food as their favorite food. Because he is Miya Osamu, and he calls it professional curiosity, he often goes out of his way to try new things as long as they seem appealing. He wasn't ready to try frogs, for example.

He walked over, put his order in, and then turned to Hanamaki, "I'm buying," he said. "So feel free to get anything."

Hanamaki looks over the menu before ordering something light to start the evening off with. He stays close to Osamu but not so close that they would draw too many eyes of those around them.

"I'll pick up the next one," Hanamaki hums. He might not have a job at the moment but he's not going to mooch either.

"Sure," Osamu said. He didn't think of it as mooching, but whatever, if Hanamaki wanted to pay for the next one, he wasn't going to fight it.

In about five minutes, their food was out. He handed Hanamaki his and led him to the food truck manned by the idiot. It wasn't busy, and he saw the idiot make a face at him. Osamu gave him a rude hand gesture and sat at the table far enough away from the truck but in direct eyesight.

Hanamaki probably would've backed down if there'd been protest but he's just as happy to pay his share. He laughs when he watches the interaction between Osamu and the man and he's still snickering when they sit down.

"Wow, you really don't like him."

"I do," Osamu said before taking a big bite from his burger. He spent a few moments chewing before swallowing. "He's a dick, and he doesn't try as hard as other people who get rejected from events like this because his father's on the board that sets these up."

“Wonder what would happen if people put him on blast,” Hanamaki hums and starts eating his own burger. His attention is more on Osamu than anything else, there’s something kinda cute about watching him eat and…his annoyed face.

"People have, but only people in the food truck scene do. Most people don't think about reviewing trucks as harshly as they do restaurants."

It was a double-edged sword, as they didn't get as many good reviews either.

"Then it sounds like a social media campaign could be helpful," Hanamaki says thoughtfully as he eats. It's his natural response to the situation. And he wonders why no one's tried it yet? It'd help everyone out more than likely.

"If someone has enough energy to do it," Osamu said before taking another bite of his burger. "Most these people don't. They work long hours and don't really get a day off."

"If only there were someone that was really good at marketing campaigns that could help you," Hanamaki smirks a bit over his burger before he takes another bite himself.

Osamu mulled that over while he chewed. "Seems petty," he said after swallowing. "And a waste of that person's time. I'm in."

"It could be a nice addition to that person's portfolio if nothing else," Hanamaki smiles and takes a drink. "It could be a lot of fun to try."

Osamu lifted his soda in a toast to Hanamaki. "By all means."

Then he took a drink, sipping his coke through the straw. "What do you want to try next?" he asked, casting his gaze around the other food trucks.

Hanamaki finishes up the food he had left and nibbles at his straw a bit. "mm.. maybe something sweet?"

"I'm assuming warm, but they have ice cream here, too. There's a cake and some hot sweets, like fried Oreos."

He looked around some more. "What are you in the mood for?"

"Okay, since you mentioned it, we have to try the fried oreos," Hanamaki laughs, ice cream is tempting but maybe closer to when they might go find a place to cuddle in private perhaps.

"You've never had them before?" Osamu asked as he wiped his face with a napkin before taking his trash to the nearest trash can.

He then gave the owner of the food truck the middle finger while pretending to scratch his nose. "This way," he said to Hanamaki.

Hanamaki followed suit as he finished and then pressed his arm through to hook onto Osamu’s.

“I didn’t get that adventurous about food before.”

He grinned over at Hanamaki as the other hooked arms with him. Enboldened by this, he leaned in and pressed his lips to the other man's cheek.

"Well, stick with me, you'll learn a lot. Probably gain five kilos, but we can work that off."

"Ugh, you're gonna make me work out?" Hanamaki laughs, and his cheeks are a dusting of pink but that could easily be waved off as just the cold. He tightened his arm briefly in response to the kiss, though.
